Expo City Dubai Overview
Expo City Dubai emerged on the site of the Expo 2020 Dubai world's fair, scheduled from October 2021 to March 2022 thronged by 24+ million visitors.
Instead of dismantling the fair venue, the concerned authorities retained 80% of the original Expo 2020 site with the major structures like the Alif - The Mobility Pavilion, Al Wasl Dome, DEC, Terra - The Sustainability Pavilion etc. Such repurposing and creative innovations were smartly integrated into the new smart city's design that we see as the 15-minute city, Expo City Dubai now!
The establishment of this sustainable smart city (only 20% of the infrastructure was built anew) with 20 sub-communities and 21 building developments is the direct result of the impressive success of the mega event.
Spanning over an area of 430 hectares (1,062 acres) the free-zone city comprises a two square kilometre gated expo area encircled by residential, hospitality and logistics zones. The residential hubs here are Expo Village; Expo Valley and Expo Downtown offering villas, townhouses & apartments.
The Expo City Dubai master plan has earned 2 pre-certifications of internationally esteemed social and environmental sustainability systems. It is the first destination in the MENA region to have achieved this honor.

About Developer Dubai South Properties & Dubai Holding

Alongside Dubai South Properties who is the master developer, there is the company of Dubai Holding who jointly developed the community.
Also, a public entity has been formed to supervise and monitor the city and the development projects known as The Expo City Dubai Authority.
Dubai Holding has projects to its credit like JBR, Business Bay, Dubai Internet City and more. Dubai South Properties is the name behind several residential developments inside the community.
