Siniya Island in the UAE is an important site of ancient history, containing evidence of a 6,000-year occupation, including the oldest documented pearl fishing settlement and a 7th-century Christian monastery. After being abandoned due to a lack of water and British bombardment in the 1820s, the island was later subject to a large-scale development project by Sobha Realty that aims to integrate residential, hospitality, and environmental planning while preserving its significant ecological and archaeological heritage.
