Palm Jebel Ali Overview
Palm Jebel Ali is Dubai’s visionary megaproject—an artificial archipelago that surpasses even Palm Jumeirah in size and scale. This futuristic island, built by Nakheel, spans over 13.4 km² and has 16 fronds, 7 islands, and 91 kilometres of seashore, which is the longest in Dubai. After construction paused post-2008, the Palm Jebel Ali relaunch resumed up again in May 2023 with a new, bold vision as part of the UAE's Urban Master Plan 2040.
The new Palm Jebel Ali master plan is all about smart infrastructure, luxurious living, and protecting the environment. Renewable energy will power one-third of the project. When comparing its infrastructure, Palm Jebel Ali vs. Palm Jumeirah, the former has greater space (houses more than 30,000 families), modern buildings, and an environmentally friendly design.
The gated community will house luxurious waterfront villas, over 80 resorts, marinas, parks, and much more. Remember -- the community is still under development. Hence, Palm Jebel Ali completion date is projected 2028, with phased villa handovers starting around 2026–2027. Its latest project launched is Beach and Coral Villas which is talk of the town due to its high-potential investment.
